Volunteer Coordinator Position Open

Position: Volunteer Coordinator – Full Time (40 Hours per week)

Salary: $17.55/hour with generous benefits (Employer Provided Gold Level Health Insurance Plan, Employer Matched 403(b) Retirement Plan, 10 Paid Holidays, 120 Hours Paid Time Off).

Start Date: On or before October 1, 2019.

The Ithaca Free Clinic is seeking a full time Volunteer Coordinator who will be part of an active team that supports the activities of Free Clinic Volunteers.

The Ithaca Health Alliance is a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. Founded in 1997, the IHA provides health care to our community members who do not have health insurance or who are under-insured thru the operation of the Ithaca Free Clinic. The Volunteer Coordinator will be primarily responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supervising Ithaca Free Clinic volunteers, with some additional administrative duties assigned as needed. Most working hours will occur during the day, with some early evening and weekend hours scheduled as needed. Training will be provided.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must have one year of volunteer management or office experience.
Must have the ability to lift 25 pounds, walk up and down stairs, and perform basic office tasks.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass pre-employment tests if applicable.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must have a demonstrated ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
Must have a basic knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, and current Windows OS.
Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Must be able to establish and maintain professional working relationships.
Must be able to work with diverse volunteer and client populations.
